There have been a lot of feature changes within social media, so we wanted to share a few up them and why they make us happy (or sad!)
1) PINTEREST BOARD COVER
FINALLY, Pinterest allows you to choose which photo you want as the board cover for a board! Directions: Mouse-over the board you want to edit and click “Edit Board Cover”. Next, select a cover pin and drag it to the exact position you want.”
Now if we could just get Pinterest to work on analytics, we’d be REALLY happy!
2) FACEBOOK COVER PHOTO
While there are lots of restrictions about what can and can’t be in a brand’s cover photo, we’re generally liking them because of the increased branding opportunities. Although, we’re guessing the restrictions are going to change soon, as many companies are ‘cheating’ by adding prohibited information in their cover photo images.
Here is one we just made for our newest client, BakedBree.com
3) FACEBOOK APPS
Apps have gotten bigger and we love it! This gives us a better opportunity to display more useful information to the users. Baked Bree takes step-by-step photos of her cooking process, which inspired us to add them into her Photo Showcase. Prior to the size expansion, we would have been limited to one main photo.
4) FACEBOOK CUSTOM TAB ICONS
Depending on which third-party apps an agency used, there were restrictions on the tab icons. The default/standard tab icon wasn’t cutting it and felt too generic. Not anymore! Check out how much Skinnytaste’s “Skinny Springtime Favorites” tab pops out now.
